	By creating custom Adult Swim Fanta Bottles, it gives exposure to Fanta as a brand while targeting fans of the following shows. It has been shown that products from collaborations creates desirability to collect all products.&#38;nbsp;

	Instagram’s new collaborative posts feature allows posts to be shared on two accounts rather than one. With this feature, we can access the Adult Swim and Fanta fans easily and thus gain more exposure.&#38;nbsp;

	Bumps are 15-30 second videos that are played in between commericals on Adult Swim. They are very simple but witty and unique to Adult Swim. By creating bumps with Fanta references we are able to target our audience.&#38;nbsp;

	Disclose the Undisclosed

	Challenge: Create a typographically-led campaign that is a call to action or raises awareness of an issue that compels you and makes you care deeply. 
Solution: We used typography to visually bring awareness to this subject and encourage people to be more conscious about the media they consume. We want people to consume media the same way people consume words: to see and think about the meaning behind it.

	What Does That Mean?

While advertising has been relatively transparent in the past, many influencers nowadays choose not to disclose when their content is an ad without caring that undisclosed ads are illegal. As a result, consumers are being misled into believing that the opinions they hear are fully truthful.

	Rock-It

	Challenge: Increase the number of teenager sign ups at the Boys &#38;amp; Girls Clubs of Boston

Solution: Create teenager focused initatives through social media, OOH, and merchandise, that help recruit , retain current members, and reveal what BGCB has to offer
 


	Current Struggles

	
1. Currently, there is no active marketing targeting teenagers.
2. When youth members become teens they don’t seem to stay around. 
3. People are not familar with the Club’s programs or activities


These three struggles created our main pillars of Recruit, Retain, and Reveal.&#38;nbsp;



	Target Audiences and Their Challenges

	Teenagers - Main target audience as such the bulk of media will be geared toward teens by teens. Desire for New Experiences: One of the biggest desires for teens is new experiences.

Need for Community: Teens are lonely. BPH reports almost 44% of teens are “persistently sad.”
Unprepared for Next Steps: Under 23% of Boston Public School 8th-graders perform at grade level.

Parents -&#38;nbsp;Teenagers need parents to sign up for the program, spreading awareness to the parents will prove essential in increasing sign ups teens.Cost: &#38;nbsp;57% of parents cite cost as a barrier to afterschool programs.
Transportation: 52% of parents cite transportation as a barrier. Specifically 67% Latino and 58% Black parents.
Community Needs: 17.9% of MA households report food insecurity.
 
 BGCB can address these challenges.&#38;nbsp;

	Recruit

	Refer-A-FriendWho: Current teen members and new recruits. How: Referrer provides club information to the interested teen.Why: 88% of consumers trust friends' recommendations over traditional media.

	Rock-It Expo - a yearly BGCB Expo to increase recruitment and exposure for the Clubs.Activities: Booths/tables showcasing activities to parents and teens. Where: Strategic locations, such as high schools, for maximum reach.Event Audience: Rising teens and those interested in joining.
Volunteers: Help with logistics and showcasing opportunities.

	One insight we found are that teenagers are excited for is graduation but one thing specifically that comes with graduation is yearbooks. So we took this as inspiration as our creatives.&#38;nbsp;
Our first promotional material we designed is a flyer for Rock-It. As for creative elements, we really want to reference Boston imagery because we are marketing the Boston Clubs not the Club of America. It also gives it a personalized touch as Boston building and imagery would be easily recognizable to Boston locals. We really want teenagers to be the center of our creatives because it shows that teens are attending the Club and could inspire others to do the same. Other elements include these blue and white doodles and lines to give it a more fun touch. 


	Retain

	Teen Advisory CouncilWhat: A panel of teens selected to advise club leadership on events for teens.Goals: Empower teens with real leadership roles, inspiring personal growth.Benefits: Teen events can be more relevant since they are inspired at the sources


	Teen-Youth MentoringWhat: A mentoring system pairing mature teens with younger members.Goals: Inspire younger members to remain members.Benefits: Promotes unity and purpose.

	Wearing and using BGCB merch increases the visibility of the Boys and Girls Club, making it more recognizable in the community. When people wear BGCB merch, it can help spread awareness of the club.

	In liquor stores, we want to create these meal kits of a local beer and Kraft mac &#38;amp; cheese. There would be a single pack and an 4-pack. In each pack, a local craft beer would be included and each kit would be unqiue based on location.&#38;nbsp;

	Ideation

	This was a submission for Forge’s 2023 Designathon where we were tasked to design an app in roughly 36 hours. The track the team and I chose was culture and when we thought of culture we thought of food. For our low-fidelities, we all researched similar food and social media apps and picked out features we all liked from each app. We looked at apps like Yelp, Beli, GrubHub, Tiktok, Bumble, and Instagram.&#38;nbsp;

	Brand Identity

	
After the mid-fidelity phase, we experimented with various typefaces and colors to establish Authentica’s identity. We wanted to use typefaces that were trendy, new, and accesible. We wanted a logo that would allude to the app purpose, hence the checkmark. For colors, we experiemented between teal and the current colors, but felt that oranges and reds signified hunger and food rather than wellness like the teal did.&#38;nbsp;

	Challenge: Create something that addresses a challenge undergraduates may face

Solution: A mobile app that provides resources and social forum networks for international students currently living abroad in the United States.&#38;nbsp;

	Ideation

	We initially started with three problems and brainstormed potential features to choose an idea to start designing:

1. Students who struggle with finding school/club related opportunities and updates about events
2. Students who struggle with finding internships and jobs and would like to connect with a professional
3. International college students in the U.S. who struggle with adapting to a new culture and finding their community/finding people with similar struggles&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Why did we selected this idea? The target audience is niche enough to narrow our research for the short amount of time needed and stand out compared to other ideas. But the TA is still demographically large enough to be relevant.&#38;nbsp;



	User Research

	We conducted several ways of user research:&#38;nbsp;

1. Competitor Analysis: Researched the problems of Reddit, our primary inspiration
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; -&#38;nbsp; The lack of tagging or filtering options inhibits the ability to efficiently scan information, especially for users seeking specific details such as visa/immigration issue&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
-&#38;nbsp; Despite being ranked in the top 10% for its size among other subreddits, this subreddit exhibits a limited level of engagement. Most posts received a maximum of 5 comments and often had zero or only one reaction and comment in the past 24 hours.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; - The anonymity on Reddit prevents users from discerning the ethnicity or background of the authors or commenters. While this anonymity may seem advantageous, it poses a challenge for international students seeking information that could apply to themselves, as experiences vary significantly based on country of origin and personal circumstances.
2. User Surveys:&#38;nbsp;36 responses from undergraduate international students
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; -&#38;nbsp; 97.2% of the participants expressed a desire to remain in the U.S. after graduation for employment opportunities&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
- 69.4% identified employment prospects and visa/immigration challenges as the foremost issues faced by international students &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; - In response to these findings, we have chosen to refine our target audience and streamline the available categories in our community tab

3. User Interviews:&#38;nbsp;15-minute user interviews with three international students
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; - Faced challenges in finding appropriate resources and communities to address job and immigration issues in the U.S.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; -&#38;nbsp;Expressed frustration with the limited guidance offered by their university's international student office&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; - There was a unanimous consensus on the need for a platform that fosters connections among international students, enabling them to pose and address questions related to these concerns.

	Problems and Our Solutions

	Our team faced a significant challenge when, nearing completion of our mobile app, we realized dissatisfaction with the design. Initial user testing revealed issues with post formatting and profile layouts.

	Challenge: Through digital tools, how can we aim to make experiences and services more accessible to others?

Solution: A mobile app that informs locals about up-to-date information about current road conditions, building conditions, accessible transit, and a platform to consider several different routes.&#38;nbsp;
Winner of Forge’s 2024 Catalyst Designathon: Accessibility Track

	Ideation

	We first started picking out what track we wanted to pursue out of accessibility, well-Being, and education. We decided to do the accessibility because there are a lot of different ways to be accessible. Some include:
1. Hearing related impairments (there are no subtitles for a show)
2. Visual related impairments (not having enough contrast in text so it is not having legible)
3. Having access to resources that help your current situation
4. Physical related impairments (needing sidewalks to commute but there is no sidewalk, maneuvering with wheelchairs)
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Why did we select this idea? When we were ideating, traveling and commutting was something that was continuous brought up in several different manners. The lack of accessibility in the city was something often mentioned in our interviews, due to several factors such as construction or the neglect of infrastructure.
For the design, we took inspiration from apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, Airbnb, and Uber.&#38;nbsp;

	User Research

	User Surveys: 40 responses&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp; - All 40 responses reported some use of navigation services (google maps, apple maps, etc.)&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; - 23.3% Sometimes, 37.2% Often, and 39.9% Always
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- 53.5% of users said that they have had to use routes other than sidewalks (hills, roads, alleys) when walking to your destination
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- 60.5% of people think that sidewalks are not well-maintained/equipped with ramps“I realized how inaccessible (some buildings are) when I got my foot injured. There are some buildings at BU that don't even have an elevator.”
In response to these findings we discovered that despite majoritt of people using a navigation service, they do not report suspected common occurances like construction that may affect someone with physical impairments’ travel route.&#38;nbsp;

	User Research



	1. User InterviewsWe interviewed two BU dining staff to learn the process of catered events on campus and to learn any additional info we need to take into account when designing. Some important information we learned:

						CaterTrax is
utilized by thousands of food service operations including the BU dining team, to
automate tasks and efficiently manage events and daily operations and integration with this software would be ideal.&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Any leftover food waste from events are currently being discarded.&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- An allergen notice is very important in the upcoming initative because&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- A website would be more ideal for staff and students
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- There are varying amount of time that a food is deemed safe to consume based on item, time, and temperature.&#38;nbsp;
2. Competitor AnalysisWe conducted competitor analysis on Free Food Alert, FeedShare, Zot Bites, and here are opportunities we established:&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Personalized Food Preferences: Allow users to set food preferences or dietary restrictions to receive more tailored alerts.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Gamification and Rewards: Introduce a points system for both administrators and recipients to encourage participation. Points could be redeemed for rewards or discounts.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Feedback System: Beyond ratings, include a feedback loop for continuous improvement based on user experiences.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Sustainability Tracking: Offer users insights into their personal impact on food waste reduction and sustainability goals.
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;- Integration with Campus Events: Integrate with university event schedules to automatically notify the web app of potential surplus food from planned events.

	One&#38;nbsp; issue we encountered during admin user testing was during uploading a new event to the event. One admin brought an issue of serving size and the amount of information displayed.&#38;nbsp;
On the student size, we occured generally no main issues besides wording which we also implemented.&#38;nbsp;
